I will be opening a new childcare center in about 8 months. I would like to receive a childrens catalog with outdoor and indoor little tikes equipment.

PS I was looking for themed outdoor play gyms that look like trains. Any suggestions?

  2. Katie Says:

    Brenda,

Thanks for thinking of Little Tikes for your new childcare center! I am puttintg our latest Childcare Solutions catalog in the mail for you. You will find that we offer a lot of really great package deals, where you can save a lot of money. These package deals can be found in the front of the catalog I have sent you, but you can also see them online at http://www.littletikeschildcare.com.

While I do not know of any outdoor play gyms that look like trains, I did want to let you know that Little Tikes now offers 2 climbers that are approved for childcare use. They are very reasonably priced and meet all of the required standards for daycare use. These climbers can be found in the catalog, or online, as well. I will keep my eye out for you, though on a play gym themed like a train. And maybe some of our readers can share their input if they have any leads on this type of product.

Please don’t hesitate to call our consumer service reps if you need any help in selecting product for your new childcare center. They can be reached, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm EST at 1-866-416-4217.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Katie

We currently operate a Daycare centen in Canada, What would be the route to be able to gain access to this program.
we are currently seeking to renew our toy fleet.

your Help will be greatly appreciated.

  4. Katie Says:

    Hugo,

Thank you for your posting. While Little Tikes is very excited about the opportunity to ship product to Canada, we are unfortunately not able to do so right now. As a result, this means that the Little Tikes Giving Program is currently not available to our friends in Canada since it is a buy/reward type of program. However, we are working diligently on trying to get our systems up and running so that we can meet the needs of our Canadian consumers. All I can do right now is ask you to try to be patient. If you would like to provide us with your contact information we would love to use you as a contact during our planning/transition process. Your knowledge with regards to the Canadian marketplace could be very valuable to us. Maybe you could offer some insight as to freight carriers that other U.S. based companies use to ship to Canada. Any information you could provide us would help us get up and running sooner. We look foward to serving your needs soon.

    Thank you,
    Katie

Hi Katie. I just opened a small daycare 9 months ago. I have some outdoor little tikes trucks/campers (actually they are step 2) but would like to find more toy trucks that children can push for all ages. The children fight over the ones we have gotten at yard sales. Can you give me any suggestions on where I can find more of these toys (couldn’t find any on yoru website or step 2 website) or can you give me any other ideas. I just signed up to recieve your catalog tonight. Thanks.

  21. Vanessa Tedder Says:

Do you offer any grants from home daycare providers? Thanks!

  22. Katie Says:

    Vanessa,
Thank you for the great question regarding grants. Little Tikes itself does not offer any grants, however, we will work with you to get you a quote that you can then submit for a grant to whichever organization you should choose.

    Thank you,
    Katie

  27. Barbara Green Says:

I have just started my Home daycare. I am trying to start purchasing outdoors toys and have a budget of 300.00 dollars. I am trying to find the best price and right now Little Tikes is the best. Any help in getting the stuff I need would be greatly helpful. Sign Military wife in need. P.S. if you can help me I would also like to help some of the other providers that do childcare but have a budget or no budget.

    • The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

Thanks for writing. I will have Amber contact you to see how you make the most of your budget. Good luck with your home daycare. We have some great new spring products that will be available soon. If fact, the new spring Little Tikes Childcare Solutions catalog is just starting to print. We will see that you get one. We will be in touch! Thank you.

  28. Hami Kitsuda Says:

Hi I currently own my own child care and I was wondering if you knew of any grants or stipends I could write to to provide a 4′ slide in my backyard. Thank you.

    • The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

Thanks for writing. I would check with your local state inspector. They would be the best resource for finding available grants in your local county or state. I would suggest trying to do a little reseach starting with your city/county government and see if there would be any grants available. We would be happy to provide a written quote for you to submit once you start your grant proposal.

  29. james schoenick Says:

I am interested in becoming a whole sale representive for Little Tyke Toys. I have another line of gifts that I represent for fund raiser purposes. I have been in business for about 20 years and have over 20 different ways to market my items.

  30. christine fleenor Says:

Dear Little Tikes child Care TEAM…That is Great!!!! Didn’t know about you. I am a long time provider- seasoned if you may…and Iam looking to replace a piece of a old style slide- waffle block style. I can’t find them anywhere. I have had it since the early 80’s. It is one of the best products you came up with. It’s colors of orange, blue and yellow are still bright. Just reciently the floor (I’ll call it) has started to become brittle. I don’t know where to go from here. Can the TEAM give me some direction…Also I can’t wait to share this site with all of the providers in our Local child Care Assocation and put a link of yours our our website for easy access for providers. Can’t wait to hear back from you. Thanks Christine

    • The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

      Hi Christine,
Thanks for writing. I think you may be referring to our Little Tikes Activity gym. The gym had 4 walls with a slide. Unfortunately, Little Tikes discontinued the Activity gym a few years ago. We still get many requests for the Activity gym. In fact, I have been trying to get the designers to work on bring the Activity gym back into production, but this time approved for public use, like our Climbing Towers Playground and Activity Quest Climber. Thanks for the feedback and certainly let your fellow providers know about our site. Thanks, Janet.

  31. The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

Thank you for the inquiry Scott. Our Little Tikes beds require a standard mattress, so therefore, we do not offer them for childcare centers. It would be up to your discretion and licensing rules to use the Little Tikes beds in a public care setting. Thanks again.

  32. Elsie Says:

    Hello there!

I’m very interested in purchasing some of your playgrounds for my little girl. The thing is our family is very environmentally and socially conscious. I browsed around your site for any information regarding your manufacturing practices and also information regarding the types of materials you use to produce your current products.

I have been around your playgrounds and have seen that they are recyclable plastic.

    Are your products BPA free?
It would be great to read more about company policies regarding environmental and sustainable issues 🙂 Look forward to getting your insight!

  33. Lori Ferrell Says:

    Dear Janet,

My name is Lori, I am the office Manager for the Florida Association for Childcare Management. We are an association for over 800 early learning centers, owners/directors and teachers in the state of Florida and we sponsor a National Accreditation program called APPLE. I would be very interested in speaking with someone from Little Tikes about partnering with our association and perhaps Little Tikes attending our 2010 Conference. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,

    Lori

  34. The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

Elsie, I’m sorry for the delayed response. Here is some info I gathered from our quality team.
Little Tikes has always been involved with recycling and concerned with the environment since the company began in 1970. Our plastic is made of polyethylene which is a very durable material that produces the strong support our products require. Polyethylene plastic is 100% recyclable. All raw materials go through extensive tests to make certain that contaminants do not exist. As new, improved resins have been developed, Little Tikes has used them to reduce wall thickness and minimize the amount of material used.
Little Tikes is fully committed to the conservation of resources through producing quality products that last, recycling and efficiently using energy and materials. With the continued input, ideas and efforts of all Little Tikes employees, we are working hard to help preserve the environment for the future of young children everywhere. We currently do not use BPA in our products nor do we use phthalates in any product intended for children under 3 years of age.

  35. Kelly Says:

Hi, I am a parent going to back to work after having my little one. My workplace has daycare that is just getting up and running again after being closed down for several months. They only have two toddlers at the moment but are in desparate need of new toys. The packages that I see on this website are awesome but is there something suitable for a small daycare like the one we have? Cost is also a big issue. I would appreciate any advise you could give me. Thanks in advance

  36. The Little Tikes Childcare Team Says:

    Hi Jackie,
The dinosaur that you are seeing is made by Little Tikes Commercial. They are owned by PlayPower and are not affiliated with us any longer. Their website is http://www.littletikescommercial.com.
    Thank you
    Janet
